Objective: To ensure healthy and robust cannabis seedlings by providing the optimal environment and care during this crucial stage.

• Cannabis seeds
• Germination medium (e.g., peat pellets, Rockwool cubes, or seedling starter mix)
• Seedling tray with humidity dome
• Spray bottle
• pH-balanced water (5.8 - 6.5)
• Seedling heat mat (optional)
• Fluorescent or LED grow light
• Hygrometer and thermometer

• Soaking Seeds: Soak seeds in a glass of pH-balanced water for 12-24 hours until they sink.
• Planting Seeds: Place seeds in a germination medium about 1/4 inch deep. Lightly cover with medium.
• Humidity Dome: Place the germination medium in a seedling tray and cover with a humidity dome to maintain moisture and warmth.

• Lighting: Place the tray under a fluorescent or LED grow light. Keep the light 2-3 inches above the dome to provide consistent light.
• Temperature: Maintain a temperature of 70-80°F (21-26°C) using a heat mat if necessary.

• Sprouting: Seeds typically sprout within 3-7 days. Once the seedlings emerge, remove the humidity dome to prevent damping-off.
• Light Adjustment: Move the grow light closer (2-3 inches above the seedlings) to prevent stretching. Increase light intensity gradually.

• Light Cycle: Provide 18-24 hours of light daily to encourage vigorous growth.
• Air Circulation: Ensure good airflow around seedlings to strengthen stems and prevent mold. A small fan can help.
• Temperature and Humidity: Maintain temperatures around 70-75°F (21-24°C) and humidity at 50-60%.

• Nutrients: Seedlings generally don't need nutrients for the first 1-2 weeks. When the first true leaves appear, start with a mild nutrient solution at 1/4 strength.
• Watering: Water seedlings lightly and avoid overwatering. Ensure the medium dries out slightly between watering to promote root development.

• Timing: Transplant seedlings when they have developed 3-4 sets of true leaves and a strong root system.
• Preparation: Prepare the new growing medium and container. Gently remove seedlings from the starter medium and transplant them carefully to avoid damaging roots.
