TUTORIAL SERIES: CURING STAGE CARE TUTORIAL

Objective: To enhance the flavor, potency, and smoothness of your cannabis while reducing the risk of mold and improving overall quality.

• Pruning shears
• Mason jars or airtight containers (Grove Bags recommended)
• Hygrometer (optional)
• Boveda humidity packs (optional)
• Dark, cool storage space

• Initial Trim: After drying, use pruning shears to trim away any remaining fan leaves and large sugar leaves. This is known as the "dry trim" method.
• Bud Preparation: Trim the buds neatly to remove excess plant material, which can harbor moisture and affect the quality of the cure.

• Airtight Containers: Use mason jars or other airtight containers, or consider using Grove Bags, which are specifically designed for cannabis curing.

• Patience is Key: Proper curing takes at least 2-4 weeks, but many growers prefer curing for several months for the best quality.
• Monitor Smell: A hay-like smell indicates insufficient drying or curing. Properly cured cannabis should have a rich, aromatic scent.
• Avoid Light and Heat: Light and heat degrade cannabinoids and terpenes, reducing the quality of your cannabis. Always store in dark, cool conditions.
• Use Glass or Grove Bags: Glass jars are preferred over plastic as they do not impart any flavors and provide an airtight seal. Grove Bags are a high-quality alternative specifically designed for cannabis.
